Roy Keane’s priceless response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration with Zinedine Zidane

Former Manchester United star Roy Keane has offered insightful view of Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration with Zinedine Zidane, after he scored opening goal in Real Madrid 2-0 win over Roma in Champions League.

First half of the proceedings was quite cagey encounter, but Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock in the 57 minute to put away side upfront.
Roma were guilty of wasting couple of chances, and Real Madrid punished the hosts in closing stages with Jese came off the bench to double the lead of Real Madrid.

Ronaldo’s former teammate at Manchester United, Roy Keane, has given a typical ‘Roy response, when asked about Ronaldo’s running to his manager to celebrate his goal, and also comment on the Future of Zidane as Real Madrid manager.
Speaking on ITV Champions league coverage, the former Manchester United midfielder said.

“Not too many players hugged me when I was a manager…

“The proof will be in the pudding, obviously it’s always nice to see… When you score, you’re going to celebrate.

“Ronaldo was probably thinking ‘I wanna be in the team next week’,” he added, tongue-in-cheek.

“It’s very hard to predict who is going to be a top manager. He has to win trophies, he’ll obviously be given more time than the previous manager because of his status at the club.
“He’s had a decent start and he’s working with real quality but you’re up against a top team like Barcelona in the domestic league.”

Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic is confident of his side chances to qualify for the quarter-finals of Champions league, after securing 2-0 win in first leg.

“Against an Italian team it is always difficult because they defend well. The pace was frenetic it was difficult to get space but the second goal was all important. That said, there is still 90 minutes to play and anything can happen. We will have to concentrate fully in the second leg.”
